 What is Price’s Medical Alert?
A medical alert system is a way to get help at the touch of a button. Our system will allow you to continue to lead a safe and independent lifestyle within the confines of your residence.
Let us provide you or someone you care about with the means to summon help when you need it.
The Prices Medical Alert system is called Caregard. It consists of 2 components: a base unit that plugs into a telephone jack, and standard electrical wall outlet. It comes with an emergency button, which can be worn as a necklace, or as a wristwatch. We provide you with a choice of wristbands, or we can provide you with a button and cord for around your neck. The lightweight and attractive button will operate up to 200’ from the base station, and is waterproof. 
How does it work?
By pushing the emergency button, or the emergency button on the CareGard unit, the system will causes the unit to dial out on the telephone line and make voice-to-voice contact with our monitoring station personnel. The monitoring staff will ask if everything is okay. If you can’t answer or answer that you are not okay they will dispatch a friend or next-door neighbor who you have listed as a willing responder. If they are unable to reach any of your responders, an ambulance will be called.

Price’s provides round the clock safety for you or a loved one! Our monitoring station is ULC-Listed (Underwriter’s Laboratories of Canada) which certifies our standards meet a high level of performance. Price’s is also a member of the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), and in the Canadian Security Association (CANASA).

For clients who have home security systems already, we can adapt the home security system to accommodate an emergency button as well. The cost of modification varies from system to system. The advantage is that the client will be paying less per month and will have home security as well as personal security all in one!
The cost of our service is $39.95 per month, with a 3-month minimum. We do not have any installation or maintenance fees for the CareGard System. Call your local Price’s location nearest you and ask to speak to one of our medical alert representatives.
